Omaha Bagel Co. is a veteran owned, cottage bakery, founded by Henry and Michelle Shields, who operate out of their home in the Westside area.  The company offers small batch, hand-rolled sourdough bagels in a limited variety of flavors.  The idea to begin making bagels started as an experiment in entrepreneurship in April of 2022.  It was based on a belief that Omaha’s demand for authentic bagels far exceeded the supply.  So far the experiment has proven to be a success, as the business has shown steady growth throughout its ~3 years of existence.  The entire family (Will, 9; Jack, 7; Maddie, 5; and Charlie, 1)  is involved in the business, whether it be packaging, making the dough, rolling and selling the bagels or delivering.  Omaha Bagel Co. cares about making genuine connections in the community and supporting one another, all while baking darn good bagels.
